The IHG Priority Club just announced its fall promotion valid from September 15, 2011 to December 31, 2011. This one is called a ‘Brand Multiplier‘ and seems to be inspired by the ‘Crack The Case‘ promotion that ran about a year back from PCR. ‘Crack the Case’ was a customized promotion and each participant selected by PCR was allocated a few tasks and on completion of each task, one would get a certain number of bonus points.
My ‘latches’, as they were called, included one of staying at at least 4 different IHG brands in the promotion period and I’d be awarded 4400 bonus PCR points. So, that was one easy kill!
This fall, PCR has taken inspiration from the promo, and instead of a regular ‘Stay x, get y’ promo, has moved to get its loyal folks to experience various IHG brands. On offer is a minimal of 500 PCR points every night you stay at a IHG property after being registered for the promo. The multiplier kicks in once you stay at the second, third and fourth brand. So, you could go to an Intercontinental, Holiday Inn, Indigo and Crowne Plaza over the period and get 4x bonus on all your stays.
Here is how it works.
- When you stay at Intercontinental, you will get 500 PCR points per night.
- When you hop on to the Holiday Inn, you get the 500 PCR points and you move to level 2. Here, you earn the 500 points per night, yes. You also activate a level 2 bonus, which means per night (including your Intercontinental nights) you get another 500 points more credited to your account after 31st December, 2011.
- In case, you moved in to the Indigo hotels, you unlocked level 3, and you earn the 500 points plus 1,000 points per night bonus (in stead of the 500 points bonus mentioned above)
- For four or more brands, you unlocked level 4. Here, you earn 2000 PCR points per night (500 base and 1,500 for level 4).
