End of September, Vistara launched their renewed Club Vistara program, as a part of which, they launched a Platinum status. They also offered customers the opportunity to match up to their Gold status, and keep the Gold status if you could take 6 flights or earn 6000 Tier Points within the trial status period of 3 months.

Over the days, however, it seems they have sweetened the offer to make Platinum an option. This is good news. Have a look at the new Terms in the screenshot below.

Here is how it works now on. When you apply for a status match and have a Gold or above tier with another frequent flyer program, you will get a Gold tier membership with Club Vistara to start for 3 months.

If during these 3 months you are able to earn 9000 Tier Points or take 12 flights on Vistara, you will get Platinum status for 12 months. It usually takes 35000 Club Vistara Tier Points or 40 flights to achieve the upgrade. Here are the benefits of Club Vistara Platinum:

• 11 CV points/INR 100 spent
• No rescheduling fee for flights
• Meet & Greet
• 15 Kg Excess baggage allowance
• 5 1-class Upgrade vouchers
• 4 Lounge Access Vouchers
• Lounge Access for self
• Priority check-in/baggage handling/boarding

If you manage to earn 6000 Tier Points or take 6 flights on Vistara, you get Gold membership on Vistara for the next 12 months (total 15 months of Gold membership). The usual to get Club Vistara Gold Tier is 25000 CV Tier Points or 30 flights. Here are the benefits of Club Vistara Gold:

• 10 CV points/INR 100 spent
• 10 Kg Excess baggage allowance
• 3 1-class Upgrade vouchers
• 2 Lounge Access Vouchers
• Lounge Access for self
• Priority check-in/baggage handling/boarding

If you are unable to get any of the above milestones, you will still get Club Vistara Silver for 12 months, which has the following benefits:

• 9 CV points/INR 100 spent
• 5 Kg Excess baggage allowance
• 1 1-class Upgrade vouchers
• 1 Lounge Access Vouchers

I think this is a competitive offer, and if you are road warrior, you may want to look into this offer from Vistara. There is no end date at the moment, so maybe this promotion is open for a while or till required numbers are met for Vistara.
