Club Vistara redemptions online & 50% discount

Club Vistara, the frequent flyer program of Vistara, flicked the switch to ON on its online mileage redemption capability on the occasion of its first anniversary late last week. Now, to be able to redeem flights on Vistara, all you need to do is to log in to your Vistara account and access the redeem button, to be able to input the details.

To promote online redemptions, Vistara is also offering a 50% discount on the number of points required, for making a redemption between January 13 to 19, 2016 and travel between January 17 to April 15, 2016. Here is a reference to the redemption table of Vistara.

I took the online redemption feature from Vistara for a spin, and it priced the new award pricing correctly. For instance, for a Mumbai – Delhi flight, here is what it showed for award pricing:

And there was ample availability in Economy

As well as in Business Class:

Now, only if I would have had enough CV points, I would have perhaps pulled the trigger on booking a Vistara Business Class flight and write a trip report for all of you! Maybe I will wait for the Vistara co-branded credit card to come out to be able to garner enough points. This sale at least for the moment, helps me shut up against the Vistara Award Chart which I consider very expensive.

Any of you planning to redeem using Club Vistara points?
