Club Vistara, the frequent flyer program of Vistara, has launched a new promotion to offer a 25% discount on Club Vistara Redemptions through March 2022, for travel on Vistara’s international network through April 2022.

The lean season caused by the new variant, and traditional low season, has caused Vistara to offer a new deal to bump up occupancy, and hoping that in the process, they can extinguish some points off their books as well.

Vistara is now offering a 25% discount on the number of points required for making a redemption to travel between March 1 and April 30, 2022. You will be able to redeem for your trips through March 31, 2022.

I took the online redemption feature from Vistara for a spin, and it priced the new award pricing correctly.

Remember a couple of things. This discount is valid only for international redemptions and not for an upgrade with CV points. The discount is great for travelling in the premium cabin, but you might be able to get a low cash price on the tickets as well and hence the discount might not be too great.

For instance, Business Class fares (even one-way) to Paris CDG are currently INR 86K for the same day where redemptions are 90K points. This means you don’t even generate INR 1 value out of your redemption in the Business cabin.

If you are thinking of clubbing it with the current transfer bonus, remember, the transfer bonus points will only come into your account in May 2022, so they won’t be useful in this situation to reduce the price further if you so think.

Bottomline

Vistara is offering a 25% discount on travel via redemption of Club Vistara points on international flights for travel through April 30, 2022, with the discounted tickets being issued through March 31, 2022.
