Club Vistara, India’s only revenue-linked rewards earning programme, has made some partners over the last year to enable bank points to convert to Club Vistara points as well, making it possible to earn Club Vistara points without holding the Axis Vistara Credit Card. These have been:
- HDFC Diners Club (Black/Club Miles) transferring 1:1 to Club Vistara
- Axis Bank EDGE Rewards moving 4:1 to Club Vistara
- IndusInd Bank Premium Credit Cards (Indulge, Crest, Pioneer Heritage, Pioneer Legacy, Legend, Pinnacle, Signature, Iconia, Platinum, Platinum Select) transferring 1:1 to Club Vistara
- Other IndusInd Credit Cards moving 2:1 to Club Vistara
Now, Club Vistara has, for the first time in their lifetime, launched a conversion bonus for Club Vistara members, which is on offer from September 25 to October 25, 2019.
As per the new promotion, if members transfer anywhere between 5000-20,000 Club Vistara points in one transaction to Club Vistara, they will get a 500 points bonus. If Members transfer 20,001 or more Club Vistara points in one transaction, they will get a 2000 points bonus. The bonus points will be credited within 45 working days after the base points have been credited into your CV account.
If you hold credit cards of different banks and convert the rewards points to CV Points under this promotion, then the number of bonus CV Points you will earn will reflect separately in your account.
This promotion can be availed only once with each bank conversion partners during the offer period. For instance, you can convert your bank Reward Points to 5,000 CV Points from one partner bank and another 25,000 CV Points from another partner bank. In this case, you will be eligible for 500 bonus CV Points on the first conversion & 2,000 bonus CV Points for the second conversion. However, if you do a conversion of 2,000 CV Points and 3,000 CV Points respectively through two different partner banks or from the same partner bank, you will not be eligible for the bonus since the valuation of each of the conversion is less than 5,000 CV Points.
Given the bonus tops off at 20,001 points, I would only transfer as many into Vistara. Having said that, points transfer to Vistara from Diners Club is pretty swift and the points reflect within two days.
Bottomline
This is the first time Vistara is offering Club Vistara points transfer bonus, and perhaps maybe the beginning of a frequent thing here. However, I see the transfer bonus to be a little on the lower side, in line with Vistara’s overall thought process of encouraging members to be loyal to the airline rather than to the loyalty programme.
Will you transfer to Club Vistara under the current promotion?
I don’t understand why they aren’t tying up with Amex. Amex and SQ are already transfer partners. Seems like a missed opportunity.
CV required for international flights are crazy high but they might shift to a dynamic system which might reduce prices.
Hi I spoke to vistara customer care they said conversion ratio is 1=4
Which means if I trf 5000 diners black will get 20000 CV
Please confirm
@Jitendra, 1:1 for diners Black. I’ve done in the past.
Hi Ajay,
Is it really worth transferring your ₹1 worth of Diners black point to Vistara?
How many CV points are required to book a Delhi – Mumbai flight. Plus additional charges to be paid like taxes etc.? That may provide an indicator.
5k eco . 6.5K Prem Eco. Tax might be ~400 rs.
So see cash prices & see. However Prem Eco would give u > 1 Re valuation i believe most of the time
