Citibank and Airbnb have teamed up for an interesting promotion. When you book your Airbnb stays and pay with a Citibank credit card, you are able to get a discount on the stay. There are two promotions:

  • Offer 1: Get Rs 3000 instant savings with Citi Credit and Debit Cards issued in India on booking on Airbnb with a minimum booking value of Rs 20,000(excluding Airbnb service fees and cleaning fees). Promo code – “CITI3” followed by the first 6 digits of the valid Citi card.
  • Offer 2: Get Rs 5000 instant savings with Citi Credit and Debit Cards issued in India on booking on Airbnb with a minimum booking value of Rs 30,000(excluding Airbnb service fees and cleaning fees). Promo code – “CITI5” followed by the first 6 digits of the valid Citi card.

The best part of this promotion, you get 2000 extra reward points for booking with these promotional codes. The promotion is valid through June 30, 2017 and you can book it for stays through January 31, 2018. If you choose to sign up to Airbnb using our link, you also get another INR 1200 to start up your account, which will be automatically adjusted against your first booking made with Airbnb.

I personally booked up a stay for later in the year, and I was able to get an INR 2991 discount (foreign exchange rates rounding) using the CITI3 promotion. The bonus reward points will come in within 90 days from the date of booking.

Bottomline

If you have plans later in the year which you’d be able to commit to right now, it is a great time to book those up with this promotion. The promotion is valid on international stays only. There are several long weekends coming up ahead after all. Where are you heading with Airbnb?
