Spends using add-on cards and spends in Accelerated Categories are also valid for this promotion. Below is the schedule for credit cards.

Citi credit card reward points

Some of the key terms and conditions of this offer are:

  • Customers would be eligible for 2X (i.e., double) reward points on all online transactions using Citi Credit Cards, except transaction reversals, point-of-sale physical transactions.
  • Additional reward points will be calculated and will be credited within 45 days from the date of the transaction to all open and active Card member’s account.
  • The Offer is also applicable on EMI transactions.
  • Customer will continue to earn reward points as per the existing product construct after they reach the 2,500 bonus point limit.

I am supposed to book flights which cost around INR 25,000. Using my Citibank Premier Miles credit card, I can earn 5,000 PremierMiles instead of 2,500 with this offer. At 45 paise a point, this works out to be a reward worth INR 2,250 which is pretty sweet.

Bottomline

This a great opportunity to mint some extra Citibank reward points. If you plan on indulging in some e-tail therapy, you should consider using your Citibank credit card on Amazon today. Alternatively, if travel on your mind, head to Akbar Travels or Jet Airways. I’m sure there are many other ways to enrich your points balance with this offer.

  1. Never get any emails from them about this stuff! How did you guys manage to get it – and thank you for it 🙂

      • Nope it’s not in the SPAM folder. Will check with on the helpline if they’ve opted me out of promotional emails.

        Thank you.

  2. Do Amazon and Myntra come under “Apparel and Departmental stores” category? Shoppers stop and Lifestyle are under that category. Can anyone confirm?

  3. Any idea if the cap is per transaction only and not on cumulative spend?
The T&C seems to suggest no cap on cumulative reward points. So I can do n number of transactions with additional 2500 reward points each?

      • During last promotion of 10th April, I got points everything else except for Mobikwik. I added Rs 10000 but when I did the calculations I got exactly 100 points less than what I had expected.

  4. Do you have any insight if one could earn these bonus points on topping up third party e-Wallets like Paytm, etc? T&C does not count them out.

    • @PB I would perhaps be doing some transactions like those. Not sure if they count or not, but might as well put them on today and if I get more points, nothing like it.
