UK will require mandatory CoVid-19 negative RT-PCR reports on arrival from January 15, 2021

The UK will institute new requirements to arrive in the country, asking for a negative CoVid-19 report from next week onwards. The exact date is not notified yet, but the requirement will be applicable for all arrivals by land/sea/air and even for citizens returning home.

Saudi Arabia opens borders with Qatar again. This will mean, Qatar Airways will once again be able to overfly Saudi airspace to be able to fly without expensive reroutings, which will mean shorter flights and lesser fuel spent. Good for the airline as well as its passengers.

India Bans UK Flights till January 7, 2020 in light of new Coronavirus strain (also transfer pax from UK to India)

India has banned flights from the UK into the country till December 31, 2020, a move that will come into effect from December 22, 2020, 23:59 IST in light of the new mutation of the Coronavirus that has come to light to have been discovered in the UK. Transfer passengers are also banned for now.
