Through February 25, 2024, 23:59 Gulf Standard Time (February 26, 2024, 1:29 IST), Etihad offers an opportunity to buy miles with up to a 30% bonus. The promotion being offered is a tiered one, and here are the tiers being offered:

• Buy 25,000-50,000 miles, and get a 20% bonus.
• Buy 50,001-100,000 miles, and get a 30% bonus.

If I go through with the top end of my promotion, I could buy 130,000 miles at 2,000 USD, which is 1.54 US Cents / INR 1.28 per Etihad Guest Mile purchased.

The maximum number of miles you can purchase per calendar year is 100,000, but if you are a Platinum member, you get to buy 150,000 miles (ex, any applied bonuses). Miles are usually posted to your account quickly, but at most within 72 hours.

Etihad Guest is perhaps the only way to get inventory for the Etihad Apartments because other programmes don’t seem to have access to it. However, it does come with significant fuel surcharges at the moment.
