Last 2 Days: Buy Choice Privileges Points with a 40% discount

Choice Privileges is the loyalty programme for Choice Hotels Group, which owns brands such as Country Inn, Sleep Inn, and Quality Inn. In the US, Choice Hotels also owns the Radisson brands, including Park Plaza, Radisson, and Radisson Blu, among others. Choice Hotels has launched a new promotion offering a discount, and it may be an excellent opportunity to purchase Choice Privilege points at a great price.

Purchase Choice Privileges points with a 40% discount.

Through Monday, August 25, 2025, Choice Privileges is offering a promotional sale on purchased points. My account shows a potential 40% discount, which is applied as long as you purchase at least 18,000 points in one transaction.

The image is an advertisement for a hotel promotion. It features a background of a hotel building with a pool and a scenic view of trees and a river. The text overlay reads, "Unlock big savings on points! Buy now and save up to 40% on points* until August 25, 2025." It mentions terms apply and references the Cambria Hotel Copper Mountain, starting at 35,000 points per night. There are three savings options: "Save 30% with 6,000+ points," "Save 35% with 10,000+ points," and "Save 40% with 18,000+ points."

How much does it cost to buy Choice Privileges points?

Choice Privileges’ pricing when buying points isn’t linear. As your purchase increases, you receive a lower price per point. Before any bonuses or discounts, the price ranges from US cents 1.28 (INR 1.09) per point if buying just 1,000 points to US cents 1.03 (INR 0.90) when purchasing 180,000 points.

At the top end of this promotion, you can buy 180,000 points for USD 1112.4 (Indian Rupees 97,119). This price is at INR 0.54 or USD 0.62 per Choice Privileges Point.

The image shows a user interface for purchasing points. It includes a slider to select the number of points, currently set at 180,000. The cost of points is $1,854.00 USD, with a 40% discount applied, reducing the price by $741.60 USD. The subtotal is $1,112.40 USD. There is a button labeled "Buy points" in yellow. The current balance is 0, and the balance after purchase will be 180,000. Additional taxes and fees will be calculated at checkout.

With Choice Privilege, the promotion usually involves a 30-50% bonus or a 25-30% discount. So this is right down the middle for the offer.

What’s the fuss about Choice Privilege Points?

While I chase Marriott and Hyatt points and others I know chase Accor points, Choice has a special place in the points space as well. With over 7,000 properties in more than 40 countries, they have a substantial footprint, but these properties are predominantly mid-end and low-end, rather than high-end, compared to their competitors. Redemptions typically range from 8,000 to 45,000 points per night; no formal award chart is available. In India, most hotels are going for 8,000 points.

Choice Privileges points don’t expire as long as you have at least some account activity once every 18 months.

Which credit card should you buy Choice Privilege points with?

Typically, these point purchases are processed through Points.com, rather than directly by the hotel or airline. However, you will almost always pay in USD/EUR/GBP, not INR. Therefore, the best cards to earn a bonus are the Axis Olympus, Axis Reserve, or American Express Platinum Charge Card, as these cards offer an international spending bonus. Beyond these, consider any card that provides a reduced foreign exchange spend conversion or one that helps you meet minimum spend requirements.

Will you buy Choice Privileges points under this promotion?

  1. I have used this promo to max, and have got almost a 60% discount on my Norway Hotels for next year. Fantastic value. Also, you won’t be able to buy unless you make your location as US in your Choice profile.

With India as location, it kept on giving an error on the payment page.

After buying the points, you can put location as India while booking the actual rooms.

    Good luck!
