You can access the promotion on the Air Canada website.

At the top end of the promotion, you can buy Air Canada Aeroplan miles at the rate of 2800 Canadian Dollars / 2053 US Dollars / INR 1,71,400 for 180,000 points, pricing it at 1.14 US Cents / INR 0.95 per Aeroplan Mile.

The promotion is live from 9:01 Eastern Time on July 8, 2024 (6:31 PM IST) to 11:59 PM on July 11, 2024 (9:29 AM IST on July 12, 2024). Even new accounts can use this promotion. For the duration of this promotion, the eligible limit of Aeroplan points that can be bought per Aeroplan account is increased from 250,000 Aeroplan points to 500,000 Aeroplan points.

Air Canada has various partners, even outside Star Alliance, such as Emirates, Etihad, Gulf Air, Oman Air, and Air Mauritius. You can mix and match partner airlines for awards that allow stopovers for a modest fee of 5,000 miles. In the case of Aeroplan, there are no fuel surcharges on award tickets, meaning you should not expect to pay hefty fees when redeeming points. However, occasionally, there are technical issues, such as the current issues with Etihad.

Air Canada is offering a 125% Bonus on the purchase of Aeroplan miles through July 11, 2024 (July 12, 2024 in India). You need to buy a minimum of 80,000 miles to trigger the bonus, which will bring the price of Aeroplan miles to the lowest it has been in a long time.

What do you think of this Aeroplan promotion, and will you buy Aeroplan miles at this price?

  1. Ajay a suggestion (Not particularly on this but on posts that are related to buying points)
would be if you could add the cancellation policy on award tickets booked via aeroplan.
Also could Show the comparison on 2-3 routes revenue price vs cost if one buys points with this promotion & redeems For People to know the benefit
(just like the ones on Hilton bonus points purchase article where Maldives property was shown as an example)
