British Airways has extended the Executive Club Status by 1-year

Last week, British Airways declared that they will be extending the current status of all Executive Club members by 12 months. British Airways will also reduce the (re)qualification threshold for the following 12 months by 25%.

The extra year of status has been rolled out to BA Executive Club members today and will be added when membership renewals happen at the Bronze, Silver and Gold status levels. The tier requalification dates should be between July 2020 and June 2021 to get this extra year of status. This extension is valid for Bronze, Silver and Gold tier members only.

While I was expecting the timeline for this extension to be further down the road, British Airways seems to have quietly rolled out the updates on the validity of the card for one more year already. Take a look at my account here. Till a couple of days ago, the Card expiry showed up as 31 December 2020.

If, as a British Airways elite you were eligible to receive the status for one more year, you would do well to check your account and confirm if you already got the status extended for a year more. This is a speedy turn around by British Airways and I am mighty impressed.

Have you received an extension on your British Airways Executive Club status for an extra year, already?
