Axis Bank launches 3X Rewards through October 31, 2022

Axis Bank Credit Cards, which has recently onboarded a tonne of transfer partners, has become one of the first major card issuers in the country to launch a promotional offer which will be valid through the festive season. Axis Bank is going to offer three times the usual rewards on a lot of their spending between September and October 2022.

Axis Bank Edge 3X Rewards

Axis Bank’s new 3X Edge Rewards promotion, which is valid between September 15, 2022, and October 31, 2022. As per the new promotion, you will get three times the usual reward points on your spending after you register with Axis Bank on select credit cards of Axis Bank.

The Credit Cards which are eligible for enrolment are:

  • Burgundy Private Credit Card
  • Magnus Credit Card
  • Reserve Credit Card
  • Privilege Credit Card
  • Select Credit Card
  • Infinite Credit Card
  • Signature Credit Card

To register for the offer, those who hold an Axis Bank Credit Card need to give a missed call on 9966024900 from their registered mobile number. Credit Cardholders would be eligible for the 3X points from the date of registration, and spending before the registration date would not be eligible for the 3X Points. [As a caution, the registration process seems to be buggy and some folks had to call over and over to get registered]

A minimum spend of INR 10,000 is required (post-registration) on a credit card to be eligible for the 3x Rewards on that particular credit card. In terms of the maximum spending and maximum points that will be given out by Axis Bank for credit card spending under this promotion, they are enlisted below:

  • Burgundy Private or Reserve cardholders will be awarded for up to INR 150,000 spending post-registration (a maximum of 22,500 points)
  • Infinite cardholders will be awarded for up to INR 75,000 spending post-registration (a maximum of 7,500 points)
  • Magnus cardholders will be awarded for up to INR 62,500 spending post-registration (a maximum of 7,500 points)
  • Select/Signature cardholders will be awarded for up to INR 50,000 spending post-registration (a maximum of 5,000 points)
  • Privilege cardholders will be awarded for up to INR 30,000 spending post-registration (a maximum of 3,000 points)

A couple of the cards listed up there are not open for new applications, so don’t wonder about their origin stories or how you can get one anymore.

As a reminder, here is when you do not earn any Edge Reward points:

  • Transactions converted to EMI
  • Transactions involving wallet spends and reloads
  • Fuel spends
  • Purchase of Gemstones, Gold, Silver Coins and Jewellery

The full T&C are listed here. Take note, that all of these cards are Axis Bank proprietary cards and no cobranded cards are involved in this promotion.

Bottomline

This is a great promotion from Axis Bank, who seems to have come back with renewed vigour this year to stir up the market. Axis Bank recently enabled a tonne of transfer partners as well, so many of these points earned can be used for transfer to airlines as well later. Axis Bank is a partner on the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale, so you should be able to register and benefit on that. [If you don’t have an Axis Bank card, apply here].

What do you make of the big moves of Axis Bank in the promotions space this year?
