Reminder: 5 days for Jet Airways 25% transfer bonus

A few weeks back I had written about the 25% Jet Airways transfer bonus that is valid for your Card reward points, if you transfer and receive the transferred points in your Jet Privilege account by May 31st. This is just a quick reminder that the transfer bonus will go out on the 31st of May and if you want to transfer out your points you should do that now! With a few banks that I have experience with, HDFC Bank will take a few days, ICICI Bank will happen within 48 hours and Citibank will transfer overnight, so will American Express. So go on, pick up the phone and make those requests now if you want to receive the…

Burn Notice: Citibank and Jet Airways – friends turning foes!

I did not intend to put out such an attention-grabbing headline out here, but considering I feel cheated and walked over, I might as well. And that too with brands such as Jet Airways and Citibank which I profess all over the place. I’m glad this happened before I wrote my Sunday Review series on the Jet Airways Citibank Credit Card though. The bad news…something I can claim proudly I was ahead of the curve on. The Jet Airways Citibank Credit Card partnership, which is was about 12 years old, is over. Yesterday, a lot of Jet Airways Citibank Credit Card members received the following email informing them of the move: Dear Card Member, We would like to thank you…

How you can benefit from the Radisson 50K promo across India?

I wrote about the Radisson Big Night Giveaway where registered participants would get a 50,000 Club Carlson points in their account after 1 stay. I figure this is vacation season in India and this is the best time to scoop the 50K bonus if you are planning a trip out of home anyways. First and foremost, the 50K registrations have still not hit the 100K mark yet. We don’t even know if they want to control it on the 100K mark or will let it go way afterwards. So, you can still go to www.radissonbignightgiveaway.com and register with your Club Carlson membership. If you don’t have one, you can get one at www.clubcarlson.com. I figure Radisson has over 40 properties…

Turkish Airlines, as a member of the Star Alliance, has started to status match members of the BMI Diamond Club program on the announcement of BMI getting sold to IAG (British Airways) and hence breaking away from the Star Alliance. However, as it is now turning out, Turkish is also status matching into other alliances. As of today the following status matching is being done: Silver on another carrier (BD/Another alliance) –> TK Miles and Smiles Classic Plus (*A Silver) Gold on another carrier (BD/Another alliance) –> TK Miles and Smiles Elite (*A Gold) No status match to the Miles and Smiles Elite Plus (TK’s top tier) Status is good for 2 years from the date of status match. Jet Airways’ new 50 bucks snafu!

Through a friend working for Jet Airways a while back, I had heard the murmurs of Jet Airways planning a new 50 Rs. fee. This time around, for all the (e)ticket printouts, but I laughed it off when I heard of it in March. I thought, a full-service carrier of that stature would not really go to these extents, but they did. Yesterday morning, some flyers were surprised to see a new charge come up ‘with immediate effect’. And later in the day came an email to all JetPrivilege members: Dear Mr. AJ, This is to bring to your notice that effective immediately, requests received for duplicate e-ticket printouts at Airline Ticketing Offices and City Ticketing Offices in India across…

Radisson and Country Inn promotions are now live

Confession. I had to waste some bit of time at my workplace registering for the Club Carlson promos, however, I am now done! Like I wrote about it a few days back, Club Carlson, the loyalty program of the Carlson brands (Radisson, Radisson Blu, Country Inn, Park Inn, Park Plaza) was planning to bring back the Big Night Giveaway and also extend it to other brands. As of an hour back, the following promotions went live: Radisson Big Night Giveaway: Here, you stay one night at any Radisson/Radisson-Blu property across the world, for a stay booked after 15th May 2012 and completed between 15th May 2012 and 15th July 2012. Sunday Plastic: Citibank Premier Miles Credit Card

Last week I reviewed the American Express Gold Charge Card for you all. This week, it is the turn of looking at the other card which has a place of pride in my wallet and gets a lot of my spend: Citibank Premier Miles Credit Card. I picked up this card in December 2011, when the benefits on the Citibank Jet Airways Platinum Credit Card were downgraded, and I must say I am very happy with it so far. Sign-up bonus: You get 2 ‘complimentary’ ticket codes which allow you to book domestic flight segments at least 15 days ahead of travel on any airline in India. These codes have to be used via the PremierMiles portal and you get…
