American Express has launched a new promotion today, where they are encouraging existing cardmembers of their credit cards to get their family members to take add-on cards with Amex.

Amex offering Amazon Vouchers for limited-time promotion to get new add-on card users

American Express has launched a new promotion for their Indian customers, where customers who have their proprietary credit / charge cards are being encouraged to get new add-on members to sign up. The promotion runs from October 5 to November 5, 2023.

American Express is offering this promotion on the following cards:

• American Express Platinum Charge Card (INR 45,000 Taj Vouchers + 10,000 bonus MR Points)
• American Express Platinum Travel Card (First year free, 2000 bonus MR points + 40000 MR on milestone spends)
• American Express Gold Charge Card (First year for just INR 1,000++, 2000 bonus MR + 1000 MR bonus per month)
• American Express Platinum Reserve Card (15,000 bonus MR Points on Minimum spends within 90 days)
• American Express Membership Rewards Credit Card (First year free, 2000 bonus MR points + 1000 MR bonus per month)

Now American Express is offering the following offers:

• On the American Express Platinum Charge Card, they are offering INR 1500 vouchers for up to 4 complimentary add-on cards nominated by November 5, 2023 and approved by December 5, 2023.
• On the American Express Platinum Reserve Card, they are offering INR 1000 vouchers for up to 4 complimentary add-on cards nominated by November 5, 2023 and approved by December 5, 2023.
• On the American Express Platinum Travel Card, they are offering INR 500 vouchers for up to 2 complimentary add-on cards nominated by November 5, 2023 and approved by December 5, 2023.
•  On the American Express Membership Rewards Credit Card and American Express Gold Charge Card they are offering INR 250 vouchers for up to 2 complimentary add-on cards nominated by November 5, 2023 and approved by December 5, 2023.

All the approved supplementary cards would be dispatched within 7 to 10 days of approval. During the Supplementary application processing the applicant will be required to go through a Video KYC process on application platforms of American Express. The approved vouchers will be sent to cardmembers (who directly received a communication from American Express), within 120 days from the offer end date (so by March 5, 2023, approximately).

To get an American Express add-on card, here are some criteria laid down by American Express:

• The age of the supplementary card applicant should be a minimum of 18 years.
• The supplementary card applicant should be related to the primary cardholder (Self, Spouse, Child, Parent, Sibling, In-laws, Others)

You can log into your American Express member portal, head to this link, and apply for the add-on cards. You will have to supply the following documents for your add-on cardmember:

• Identity Proof:Aadhar Card, Passport, PAN Card, or any other valid photo Id Proof.
• Address Proof:Aadhar Card, electricity/water/telephone bills of the latest months, Ration Card, etc.

I think this a pretty good promotion from American Express to encourage people to add their family members to the Amex family and there are some generous rewards to add people to your existing or new card accounts with American Express.

American Express just launched a generous promotion, offering up to INR 6,000 in Amazon Vouchers to encourage you to add add-on card members to your account. It costs nothing to you, and you get additional benefits as well. The promotion is valid till November 5, 2023 for you to nominate members of your family to become additional cardmembers of Amex.
