American Express Membership Rewards Credit Card India offers

I have extensively written about this credit card before and my verdict is that is a solid card. You would get 1 Membership Rewards point for every INR 50 spent coming into your account. What makes this card worth considering is that you get 1,000 bonus Membership Rewards points when you use your card for at least four swipes of a minimum of INR 1000 in a month. That means you can earn up to 12,000 bonus Membership Rewards points in a year, just for spending 48,000 rupees.

The card is usually available for INR 1000 + taxes but now you can get it lifetime free when you apply here. What’s more? you also get an Amazon gift card worth INR 500 with your credit card too. Perfect for the upcoming online sales. A free premium card and a bonus voucher? Wish I got a similar offer when I was signing up.

What makes this a worthy contender for you to use this festive season? It is this year’s Diwali Sparkles promotion perhaps, where you can earn even more rewards such PayTM movie vouchers and Tanishq gold vouchers. One thing to keep in mind is that this promotion is targeted, so everyone gets a tailor-made offer.

So what are you waiting for? A free American Express Membership Rewards Credit Card India and Amazon vouchers are waiting for you!

  1. Hello,
I’m a bit confused here. A lifetime free card is the one where you don’t need to pay the annual fees throughout your life. But, on the offer page, at the bottom under footnotes, it is mentioned that the annual fee will be waived off if I spend a certain total amount in my previous year. Can you please help me here in understanding how exactly it is.

  2. It was 12 lakh per annum last year. That a 25% jump.. Does Amex think that Indians are getting rich at 25% PA every year!!!
