After the American Express Shop Small campaign’s success in 2020, which aimed to get people out there and shop from small merchants, American Express has now launched a new promotion aiming to get people to dine out at restaurants.

Amex has launched a new Dining Fest, which will grant you a 20% cashback up to INR 750 when you spend INR 500 or more on an American Express Card in person at a participating restaurant.

You first need to register your card for the Amex offer once it shows up in the Amex Offers section on your personal Amex website after logging in. You then have to directly swipe the card or tap to pay at the establishment. The offer is not valid for payments made via a third party establishment or a payment processor, so a payment via a dining app or a wallet etc. will not get you the cashback.

The cashback is valid for a total of INR 750, which means you can spend a total of INR 3,750 at dining establishments in the list and get up to 20% cashback within five working days. The promotion is valid till April 30, 2021. The promotion has turned up on the following cards.

• American Express Platinum Card
• American Express Platinum Reserve Credit Card
• American Express Platinum Travel Credit Card
• American Express Gold Card
• American Express Membership Rewards Credit Card

The new American Express promotion is good for those planning a meal out over the next few months and a good incentive to start dining outside in case you have not so far. American Express is offering a 20% cashback up to INR 750 till April 2021 for cardmembers at participating restaurants in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Make sure to save the promotion on your card in Amex Offers before you head out for your meal, though.
