I’ve previously written about my experiences with OlaCabs. From thereon, I’ve continued to use them because in spite of some hiccups, they are better off than the fleet cab services, who have become unreliable and do not turn up.
In Delhi and Bangalore, OlaCabs has been running a promotion for a while, which allows for travel from any part of the city to the airport for a flat price of Rs. 399 only. For those of you who stay in these cities, you obviously know that airports are way out of the city, and cabs cost quite a bit. For instance, a regular non-airconditioned cab from my Delhi home to the airport costs me Rs. 550, a radiocab costs me Rs. 700 plus. So, with an Olacab booking, I am better off.
Here are the terms of the Bangalore offer, which can be availed with coupon code A399, and is valid only for airport pickups and not drops to the airport:
- The coupon code A399 has to be informed by the customer to the call centre at the time of booking through any medium. It can also be added from the Android or iPhone app. Valid for City Taxi- Airport Pickups only.
- Applicable only on City Taxi Compact category.
- Toll/Parking charges are extra.
- Airport Pickup is defined as- Bangalore Domestic/ International Airport to anywhere in Bangalore city limits as defined by Ola cabs for an upper limit of 40kms beyond which regular compact fares for airport at Rs 12 per km are applicable.
- Waiting charges at Rs 2 per min are applicable after the first 15 mins- also includes in-trip waiting.
Last year, they ran the same promotion also for drops to the airport and I availed of that in Bangalore.
For Delhi, the terms are more liberal, and you can do pickup/drops to the airport from Delhi and Gurgaon (ex East Delhi). You have to use coupon code AIRPORT399. Here are the main terms:
- The coupon code AIRPORT399 has to be informed by the customer to the call centre at the time of booking through any medium. It can also be added from the Android or iPhone app.
- Noida | Ghaziabad | Faridabad | East Delhi (all areas east of Yamuna) are excluded.
Both the promotions are scheduled to run till September 30,2013 at the moment.
INR 50 OlaMoney Credit for signup.
Olacabs also runs a virtual money wallet, where you can store real cash as OlaMoney, which gets adjusted against your city taxi services. To signup for an Olacabs account, you can also redeem a referral code (mine is 3QFT1A). With the referral code you get Rs. 50 which can be adjusted against your first city cab ride, which could also be under the INR 399 promotion. Olacabs has operations in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Bangalore, and you could use these credits in any these cities. You also get your own referral code after signup, which you can share with your friends, and you get INR 50 credit for their first rides, they get INR 50 credit for their first rides as well.
That is how you could doubledip and have a good clean cheap ride to the airport tomorrow if you’re flying away for the long weekend.

Some drivers are bit rude ..also the call center is not always reachable ….
Hi AJ, How would you rate them for outstation trips ? I am planning to book them for my Bangalore-Coorg-Bangalore trip. Any recommendation? I also came across http://www.bookcab.in/ they seems to be the cheapest of all.
@Gaurav I haven’t used them on out station trips. However the same cabs are also sent for full day rides. Usually clean. Once got a bad cab too. I always call to tell them I need a clean cab since then
