Air India can’t seem to catch a break with all the incidents and the fatal crash and so on. The airline is now involved in an incident where passengers and crew felt sick on board a London Heathrow to Mumbai flight.
Passengers and Crew on board Air India AI130 feel dizzy and nauseous
As per The Times of India, 11 People on board AI 130, operating between LHR and BOM on June 23, 2025, felt sick. As per Air India, the incident did occur, however, five passengers and two crew members were affected, as per their statement.
The cause of the nausea was unknown, but it could be due to food poisoning or cabin pressure going down, said The Times of India. The flight operated normally, with a Boeing 777-300 ER Aircraft, and arrived in Mumbai, where the medical team of the airline met the passengers and crew. The pilots on board were not affected.
Air India issued a statement, which said,
On board flight AI130 from London Heathrow to Mumbai, five passengers and two crew reported feeling dizzy and nauseous during different phases of the flight. The flight landed safely in Mumbai where our medical teams were ready to provide immediate medical assistance. After landing, two passengers and two cabin crew, who continued to feel unwell, were taken to the medical room for further examination and were later discharged. We are investigating the incident and have duly notified the regulator.
