Air India opens bookings for Delhi – Manila flights; to launch route on October 1, 2025

Air India has been spending a lot of effort bringing planes back in the air from grounding, leasing planes to increase capacity, and adding capacity to existing routes or adding more flights to routes that used to be served in the past. In 2023, Air India also started adding more international capacity, and since then, it has launched flights to Phuket in December 2023 and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in 2024.

Air India will head to Manila from Delhi five times weekly.

Air India has just opened bookings on the Delhi to Manila (Philippines) sector. It will launch flights between Delhi and Manila, a non-stop service operated with an A321neoLR, effective October 1, 2025. With the launch of this new route, Air India becomes the only carrier to operate non-stop flights between India and the Philippines, offering seamless connectivity through its Delhi hub and boosting tourism, trade, and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Operated with an ex-Vistara A321neo aircraft, offering a three-cabin service, AI 2362 will depart Delhi at 1:20 PM and arrive in Manila the same day at 10:40 PM. The return flight, AI 2361, will take off from Manila at 11:40 PM and land in Delhi at 03:50 AM the next day. The route will commence with a five-flight-a-week schedule (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays).

The new service will also enable convenient one-stop connections to the Philippines via Delhi for travellers from the UK and Europe.
The Philippines recently introduced visa-free entry for Indian tourists for up to 14 days, significantly enhancing accessibility for Indians eager to visit the white-sand beaches of Boracay, the landscapes of Palawan, the landmarks in Cebu, and more.
Campbell Wilson, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, Air India, said,
The introduction of our Delhi-Manila route is a yet another step in our mission to connect India with more of the world, non-stop. As outbound travel from India grows at an unprecedented pace, with Indian tourists ranking among the highest spenders globally, the new entry rules for Indian tourists are a shot in the arm to boost tourism to the Philippines. We are happy to facilitate new opportunities for cultural exchange and economic collaboration between the two nations, while bringing the new Air India to more travellers around the world.

Bottomline

Air India will launch five times-a-week flights between Delhi and Manila on October 1, 2025. The flight will be operated by an Airbus A321neo. This will make Air India the first Indian carrier to operate flights to Manila.
