Air Canada re-launching flights between Toronto & Mumbai in 2017

Air Canada is going in for some major expansion over the next few months. About a year ago, they launched non-stop flights between Toronto and Delhi using their 787-9 series Dreamliners. The Delhi – Toronto and Mumbai – Toronto sector now also has Jet Airways flying their Boeing 77Ws to there in a few days.

On the back of this massive capacity announcement, it turns out, Air Canada will now launch a Toronto – Mumbai flight in 2017. The airline last used to fly to Mumbai in 1991.

The 787-9 flight comes with 30 business class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats in a 2-4-2 config and 247 Economy seats in a 3-3-3 configuration.

That should make one more addition for the non-stop flights from North America to India, apart from the Air India ops between SFO, EWR, ORD, JFK and Indian stations. And of course, United non-stop between EWR & DEL/BOM and Air Canada’s Toronto to Delhi.
