IndusInd Bank Tiger Credit Card: The Lifetime Free Lounge Access Credit Card adds 1:1 Air India Maharaja Club Transfers

There was a time when airport lounge access in India was easy. Swipe your card, walk in, grab a coffee, and fly. That era is gone. Today, most major banks, including IndusInd Bank, require you to spend INR 50,000 or more every quarter just to unlock what is considered a basic benefit for most people. And that is exactly why the IndusInd Bank Tiger Credit Card feels like a throwback — in the best possible way.

This is a card that quietly promises something almost unheard of in 2026: lifetime free, with lounge access that actually works without hoops to jump through.

A Card That Starts at Zero And Stays There

Let’s begin with the most important part. The Tiger Credit Card is free for life. No joining fee, no annual fee. That changes the equation. You’re not evaluating whether the benefits justify an INR 3,000 or INR 10,000 annual fee. You’re asking a much simpler question: Why wouldn’t I keep this card?

Lounge Access, The Way It Should Be

Now comes the real hook, and the reason this card deserves your attention. With the Tiger Credit Card, you get:

  • 2 domestic lounge visits every quarter
  • 2 international lounge visits every year via Priority Pass

No spending targets per quarter or any activation thresholds. You get 8 domestic lounge visits every year and a Priority Pass membership, which opens the door to hundreds of lounges worldwide.

You also get a 1.5%+ forex markup rate, quarterly golf benefits, and lifestyle perks like BOGO on movie tickets.

IndusInd re-rates the benefits and adds a transfer partnership with Maharaja Club

While this conversation has been ongoing for some time, IndusInd Bank made the transfer partnership live as of June 1, 2026. The annual reward rate structure for the IndusInd Tiger Card is as follows:

  • First INR 100,000: 1% Points
  • INR 100,001 – INR 250,000: 2% Points
  • INR  250,001 – INR 500,000: 4% Points
  • INR 500,001 onwards: 6% Points

Now, this has been around all along. But what has changed is the ability to transfer these points to the Air India Maharaja Club programme. The new partnership allows for the transfer to Maharaja Club via the IndusMoments website, and one can convert up to 25,000 points into Maharaja Club Points every month.

Why You Should Seriously Consider This Card

The IndusInd Bank Tiger Credit Card works best in two scenarios:

  • First, with this entry-level card, you can get some lounge access without paying annual fees. Here is the list of eligible lounges in 34 cities.
  • As a backup card — something you keep in your wallet purely for lounge access when your primary card fails or doesn’t meet spend criteria.

And as of now, the newest reason to sign up for this card is the ability to earn free tickets on Air India/ Air India Express and Star Alliance Member carriers.

Bottomline

The IndusInd Bank Tiger Credit Card is not competing with Axis Atlas or HDFC Infinia. But it does provide you with lifetime free access to airport lounges in a limited manner — in a world where that benefit is steadily being taken away. And now, it also gets you the ability to transfer your points into Air India’s Maharaja Club loyalty programme.
