The United Arab Emirates, home to Indian crowdpleaser destination, Dubai, has made some announcements with respect to visas that should be of use to India and the rest of the world. Two new visa categories were announced, including a UAE multiple entry visa for 5 years.
UAE Multiple Entry Visa 5 Years
First and foremost, the UAE has announced a new 5-year multiple entry visa, which will allow holders to stay in the country for up to 90 days during each entry, extendable by another 90 days. Visitors with this visa will enter and exit the country as many times as they want with this visa.
So far, UAE offered a Visa on Arrival for 30 or 90 days to over 50 nationalities, and those who are citizens of the GCC countries could arrive without any visas altogether. In India, the most prolonged visa available used to be a 90-day multiple entry visa. Also, subject to certain other conditions being suited, one could apply for a Visa on Arrival for the UAE.

The UAE has also announced a remote work visa, which will allow employees from all over the world to live and work from the UAE for a year. This works even when their company is based in another country.

Bottomline
UAE has been one of the preferred destinations for Indian travellers. While more details are awaited, this is a great policy move from the UAE, which should help many Indians with extended families in the UAE or who love to vacation in the country.
