British Airways is offering a great new redemption sale which might be potentially lucrative for Executive Club members planning to fly long-haul on the airline. But you only have a week to make your redemptions on this great new British Airways Avios Sale.
British Airways Avios Sale
In a new redemption sale that has been put out by British Airways Executive Club, they are offering redemptions for half the number of Avios normally required for their long-haul network. The redemption can be in any cabin, including Economy on the lower end and First Class at the top-end, but only on British Airways metal.
This means, ex Delhi, customers can book return flights to London for 20K Avios in Economy and 62.5K Avios in Business Class. However, remember that customers need to pay a cash amount on top of this to cover taxes, fees and carrier charges, which might be a fair deal for premium cabins but not so much for the economy cabin.
The sale also offers redemptions with Avios for short-haul flights at 25% lesser Avios, which means that a London-Athens round trip would cost just 19,500 Avios for a return flight. The reduced Avios needed to book will appear automatically when searching for a Reward Flight.
To take advantage of the sale, you need to book these tickets between October 6-13, 2020, and travel by June 30, 2021. This offer applies to both peak and off-peak Avios Reward Flights and can be booked by any British Airways Executive Club Member that has earned or spent at least 1 Avios in the last 12 months when logged into their account and with a sufficient Avios balance. No registration is required.
The required amount of Avios for Reward Flights in World Traveller, World Traveller Plus, Club World and First, will be reduced by 50%. Avios & Money and Reward Flight Saver bookings are included in the offer, but only the Avios amount will be discounted by 50%. The required amount of Avios for Reward Flights in Euro Traveller and Club Europe will be reduced by 25%. Avios & Money and Reward Flight Saver bookings are included in the offer, but only the Avios amount will be discounted by 25%.
Limited Services from India
Remember, British Airways has limited services on offer from India at the moment, operating under the Air Bubble Agreement between India and the United Kingdom, which means Indian passport holders can only fly to London on BA flights, and not connect to the Americas, for instance. This should pan out sooner than later, however, and tickets are up on sale on the British Airways flights for many months out at the moment. One should also remember that limited meal service is available on these flights in terms of meals at the current instance, something that might change very swiftly once it is safe to do so.
