Qatar Airways now flying the QSuites to Delhi

Qatar Airways, which has the world’s best Business Class in their patented QSuites product, has been flying the QSuites on their flights between Doha and Mumbai/Bangalore for about a couple of years now. In fact, I just flew back on Doha to Mumbai just last week and got the fabulous product on my ride back home, with an enclosed suite and Qatar Airways’ impeccable hospitality on the route.

Here is my review from one of the many times I’ve flown the QSuites on the Mumbai to Doha and Doha to Mumbai.
Qatar Airways initially had the QSuites fitted on their Boeing 777ERs, and when the airline took their Airbus A350-1000s they started to get the factory installed on those too. The airline also started fitting the A350-900s on with the QSuites at the same time, and now they have many A350-900s flying with the A350-900 as well. Here are the aircraft which have the QSuites fitted:
  • 77Ws A7-BEA/B/D/E/F/G/I/J/K/L/M/N/O/P/Q/R/S/T/U/V/W, BAF/G/M/O/X/Z
  • 350-900s and 1000s delivered since Q1 2018.
    • 350-900s A7-ALY/Z/AME/F/G/H/I/J/K/L
  • 77Ls A7-BBA,B,C,D,E,G,I

Now, Qatar Airways has started to schedule the A350-900s with the QSuites on the Delhi-Doha segment as well. However, be aware, that this is not a daily occurrence on the Qatar Airways website at the moment, and when you book the ticket you would see if there was a Qatar Airways QSuite on your flight Number QR578/579. For instance, January 10, 2020, does not have an A350-900 with a QSuite.

But on January 14, 2020, there is one with a QSuite scheduled. There is also a second flight between Delhi and Doha so be careful on which flight you are checking out the QSuites on.

Are you planning to fly Qatar Airways in Business Class anytime soon from Delhi? Do tell us if you get the QSuites on your flight or not.

  1. Booked a ticket last month for a flight which mentioned Q-Suite (on 16th Dec from Delhi to Doha). Paid extra to select that flight but the day of travel the plane didn’t have Q-Suite. Literally till then the online seat selection was showing QS.

Worth writing to Qatar about? I could have booked another flight for $250 less for the same day with them.

    • @Dev, Can’t really say about that. BOM-DOH a couple of weeks ago had the same thing, a plane swap. My plans were inflexible at that time so did not really do much about it. But you sure could try writing to them.

      • Yeah same. Had to take the flight and of course it was pretty nice without the QS as well. Only thing which I did not appreciate was misleading information (false advertising?) about a certain product which wasn’t delivered. I could have just picked another flight combo to Europe with them for less money.

Guess I’ll let this one pass and glad to see them bringing their latest and greatest equipment to India.

  2. Ajay, you missed out the registrations of the QR A350-1000s. They are registered A7-AN*. AFAIK, all the A350-1000s starting from A7-ANA have Qsuites.
