Now book Singapore Airlines awards with Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan

Singapore Airlines and Alaska Airlines’ Mileage Plan have been partners since September 2017. Though it has been possible to earn miles on Singapore Airlines’ flights for the past couple of years, over the past 24 hours, it has been made possible to use Alaska Airlines miles to book Singapore Airlines award tickets.

I pulled up all the award charts from the Alaska Airlines website.

Why this is interesting for your all? Because now you can get Singapore Airlines Business Class for 25,000 Alaska Airlines miles one-way (costs 65K Singapore Airlines miles). Similar deals exist for flights to Hong Kong, Beijing and other airports as well. I’m waiting to see more details, and the system is buggy at the moment, but Alaska Airlines is working on fixing this.

Alaska Airlines is currently having a sale where Alaska Airlines is selling miles for up to 40% bonus, making the net cost of miles to be 2.1 US cents (INR 1.49) at the top end.

Being able to use Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan is a huge advantage for members. I credit a lot of my flights, such as SQ flights to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan and it gets me a nice bunch of miles to use when I need to use Alaska Airlines for redemptions for flights on carriers in the USA.

I will certainly spend some more time on Alaska Airlines in the coming days, but for now, do feel free to explore this option more.

Are you excited about Alaska Airlines coming on board as a redemption partner for Singapore Airlines?

  1. DEL- SIN business class is 65K . It is now reflected in the award charts as well.
Strangely, i couldnt find CX availability for DEL-HKG route too.

  2. Ajay,
I really hope this is a glitch and not reflective of overall poor availability of awards. As an Alaska elite based in Seattle, I am rather disappointed. For instance, no award seats available on the SFO-SIN/ SEA-SIN direct- have to route through HKG on SQ 1/2 which is not terrible but takes away the convenience that the new SEA-SIN flights offers. There are sweet spots though, like North Asia to SE Asia.
