Club Carlson will launch a new summer promotion in a couple of days, where for every 2 stays that you complete between July 1 and September 30, 2017, you can choose to earn either a free Friday night stay or 10,000 bonus points.

This offer is open for all Club Carlson members and you will need to choose between free nights and bonus points at the time of registration. You can earn a maximum of three free nights and the certificate will be credited to your Club Carlson account.

The Friday e-Certificates are valid for reservations on a single Friday night reservation at any Quorvus Collection, Radisson Blu, Radisson RED, Radisson, Park Plaza, Park Inn by Radisson and Country Inns & Suites By Carlson hotels worldwide for stays between October 6,2017 and January 26,2018.

If you choose to earn bonus points then a total of 30,000 bonus points can be earned in this promotion. Bonus Gold Points will be credited your account when the regular Gold Points are credited for the second, fourth and sixth Eligible Stay. Keep in mind that reward stays  and points + cash stays are not eligible for this Promotion. The points are over and above any points one earns for the stays, and the tier bonuses as well. You could also get some more points by booking a stay on the app.

Bottomline:

This is definitely and interesting offer where by giving away a Friday night free Club Carlson hopes that members will extend the stay over the weekend. I would however prefer to choose bonus points. 9,000 Club Carlson bonus points would get me a free night at any Category 1 hotel worldwide. However, for others, it may work better to earn the nights if they are planning some long weekends from town, as the nights have more monetary value.

Club Carlson have close to a 100 hotels spread across 78 cities in India. So if you have travel plans coming up over the next 3 months then this is a good promotion to use. Combine it with the app promotion, which will help you earn another 3,000 extra points.

Fun fact, Carlson is a big backer of the Friday concept, after all, till 2014, they owned the TGI Fridays’ chain of restaurants as well. So, I’m guessing the same brand manager is now managing this promotion?
