Jet Airways & some other airlines are currently running a promotion in collaboration with Marriott International, called “You Can Fly” where in members of these programs can earn up to 35,000 bonus miles on qualifying paid stays at Marriott Hotels.
This promotion is for new members, who sign up the program after 8 April 2016 and choose miles as their earning currency. The members can earn miles in the following programs:

- Asia Miles
- British Airways Executive Club
- Copa Airlines ConnectMiles
- Emirates Skywards
- Iberia Plus
- Jet Airways Jet Privilege

The validity of this promotion is until the end of this year through December 31, 2016. Under this promotion you will earn 1500 bonus miles on completion of 1st & 2nd stay, thereafter 2000 bonus miles from your 3rd stay onwards. However, remember, you earn miles per the promotion only for the first 90 days after you sign up. Full details of the offer and registration can be found here.
This offer is only valid for Joint members, that means that you have to be a member of the mileage program as well as hold a new membership to Marriott Rewards (signed up after April 8, 2016). Remember to select “JetPrivilege” or another participating program as your earning preference when you sign up at Marriott Rewards to ensure credit of bonus miles.
Joint members can earn Miles as mentioned below:
2 Miles per USD spent on all qualifying charges at the following 5 brands:
- JW Marriott
- Autograph Collection
- Renaissance Hotels
- Marriott Hotels & Resorts
- Marriott Vacation Club
2 Miles per USD spent on room rate only at:
- The Ritz-Carlton
- EDITION
1 Mile per USD spent on room rate at 6 brands:
- Courtyard by Marriott
- Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott
- SpringHill Suites by Marriott
- Residence Inn by Marriott
- TownePlace Suites by Marriott
- Marriott Executive Apartments
Bottomline
If you are a member and are still not a member of Marriott’s frequent guest programme, this is a good time to sign up for the Marriott Rewards. But the math works differently for everyone, since I’d rather take the hotel points over miles (you get 10 MR v/s 2 Miles per USD spent).
