Vistara, the newest full-service airline we have in India, has been operating for the past 14 months now. I was on their inaugural flight between Delhi and Mumbai, and I’ve previously covered the Vistara experience in detail.
Vistara Business class and Vistara Gold members are provided lounge access by Vistara. For the longest time, Vistara has had plans to operate their own lounge in Delhi, in line with their image they intend to project of a premium airline operator. However, last year, we got the first glimpse of the lounge coming up at the Delhi Airport next to Gate 41 at Terminal 3. Opening a lounge at Delhi made sense for Vistara, given that they have a hub in Delhi and hence can control the Vistara Experience even more.
For the time being, they were sending guests to the Plaza Premium Lounge in Delhi Terminal 3. That stopped since today as the Vistara Lounge is now operational in Delhi.
The new lounge is 250 square meters in size, and can accommodate 75 people at any time. The lounge offers meeting-rooms, relaxation areas with a dry spa perhaps, and a bar and restaurant inside.
Ironically, Vistara did not send out pictures of the lounge to me, rather they sent pictures of the movie stars who inaugurated the lounge. So, I’ll have to go over to the lounge myself and write a review sometime soon.
Anybody visited the new Vistara Lounge yet? How was your experience there?
