I’ve heard this question many times since the Vistara and Air India merger date was set, and as we come close to the date, I finally have the answer.
Being the avgeek-friendly airline Vistara is, they discussed internally the possibility of signing off with one particular flight at the end. Still, the view around the table was that this was not a celebratory event, and the airline would rather keep it solemn than rub it into the faces of people that the brand would go away. So, Vistara will quietly bid goodbye on November 11, 2024.
Vistara last flights
It was easy to pick the first flight for any airline, given that it was just one, but with expanded operations, the last flight became tricky. However, Vistara will have two last flights now.
- Domestically, BOM-DEL, operated as UK986, will be Vistara’s last flight. It will depart from Mumbai at 22:50 Hours on November 11, 2024. For an airline that launched operations with a Delhi – Mumbai flight (UK890 on January 9, 2015), a Mumbai – Delhi flight to close the loop is the right thing to do. If you want to get on this flight, tickets are available for all three cabin classes.
- Internationally, DEL-SIN, operated as UK115, will be Vistara’s last flight. It will depart from Delhi at 23:45 hours on November 11, 2024. This will also be the last flight that will take off as a Vistara flight. Again, the correlation with history exists here, as in August 2019, Vistara launched its international operations with a Delhi – Singapore flight, operated then by a Boeing 737.
I am unaware if any celebrations are being planned, but I know some Vistara loyalists plan to fly on some of these flights.
Bottomline
Vistara will merge into Air India soon, and Vistara’s flights will transition to Air India flight numbers on November 12, 2024. However, if you are interested in flying with them one last time, UK986 and UK115 will be the last domestic and international operations for the airline.
Are you going to be making history by being on one of these last flights for Vistara?

I am scheduled on UK971 DEL-PNQ on 11th Nov
Sad to see Vistara fade away. Been clocking at least 70-80 flights/yr only on Vistara post Covid
The First Delhi Singapore flight was a Jet Airways aircraft with the original paint.
Sad, flying in it was sort of flying in premium airlines.
Sad, flying in it was short of flying in premium airlines.
