Vistara, the full-service airline founded by the Tata & Singapore Airlines joint venture, will start a Chennai flight from Delhi in February 2018. Conversations about opening Chennai have been ongoing for a very long time now, but finally, it is a done deal. Chennai will be the 22nd destination on the airline’s network.
Vistara will start operating a daily flight between Delhi and Chennai on February 15, 2018, and upgrade it to twice a day from March 1, 2018. Hence, the airline will able to offer a daily morning/evening schedule from Delhi as well as Chennai. Vistara will also be launching daily flights between Chennai and Port Blair on March 1, 2018.
This news has received much love on social media!

Here is the full schedule for your reference for the Chennai flight.
When you’re flying from Delhi, elites and business class travellers will get access to the Vistara Lounge at Delhi T3 as well given the food and the amenities in the lounge. Here is our full review.
Vistara does have some excellent service on the ground and in the sky. Here is the review I wrote for the Economy Class in 2015 at the time of launch. I can also vouch for their Business Class to be top notch. And with their new A320Neo’s they are going above and beyond on comfort of the passenger.
Bookings are now open, with one-way fares for Delhi – Chennai (economy class) starting INR 3,099 all-in, and INR 3,699 all-in for Chennai – Port Blair.
So if you are planning to go to Chennai, do look up Air Vistara. You could book directly to get the benefits. Or else, book via MakeMyTrip, Cleartrip or Goomo.
Why does the last chennai Delhi flight take 5 hours?
@Swastik, hey, just checked it is actually 2020 and not 2220. That came from Vistara. Will correct the image
