As flying takes off again, Vistara has now launched a new promotion to attract its customer base back to the airline, by offering a 100% bonus on flights taken between September 4 and October 31, 2020.
The new promotion, launched today, is offering up to 100% bonus Club Vistara points for flights booked directly on Vistara’s website/app and flown between September 4 and October 31, 2020.
For base and Silver tier members, Vistara will grant 50% bonus CV points for every flight directly booked with Vistara and for Gold and Platinum Members, this bonus will be 100%. From the language, there does not seem to be a problem if you travel on tickets booked before this date. [Update: Vistara says that you need to book flights and travel between September 4 and October 31, 2020]
While the base miles credit to your account between 36-48 hours, the bonus miles will be credited within seven days of taking the flight.
Who benefits from this offer?
Vistara offers you Club Vistara points for the amount of money you spend and not the number of miles flown. So, here is the maths on who earns how much per INR 100:
- Base Members: 8 CV Points/INR 100 + 4 Bonus CV Points/INR 100 = 12 CV Points/INR 100
- Silver Members: 9 CV Points/INR 100 + 4.5 Bonus CV Points/INR 100 = 13.5 CV Points/INR 100
- Gold Members: 10 CV Points/INR 100 + 10 Bonus CV Points/INR 100 = 20 CV Points/INR 100
- Platinum Members: 11 CV Points/INR 100 + 11 Bonus CV Points/INR 100 = 22 CV Points/INR 100
This is a pretty good offer for Gold and Platinum members, while for Base and Silver members, who don’t travel as much by Vistara as well this is not a bad offer at all. There is no capping on the number of maximum bonus points you can take, and the offer is valid on both domestic as well as international flights.
Bottomline
While nothing beckons travel during a global pandemic, but if you have to travel, there is nothing better than making some extra points for your next trip if you have to. Vistara is offering up to a 100% bonus on all flights booked directly with Vistara and flown between September 4 and October 31, 2020.
Will you be flying Vistara over other airlines for the extra points?

Was speaking with a customer service rep on the priority line on another matter and brought up this topic. He confirmed with his supervisor that ‘successful completion’ in point 1 of their T&Cs means that both the ticket booking and travel date must be between Sept 4 and Oct 31. WOW!! How were we expected to figure that one out?!!! ♂️
