The 3 Days Qatar Airways Global Sale is now on from 15th to 17th Nov 2011!

We all heard Qatar Airways teaching a thing or two about aviation to airframe biggie Airbus at the Dubai Air Show, and then kissing and making up to order loads of A320 NEOs and some 5 A380s. This comes close on the heels of neighborhood airline Emirates ordering a huge number of B777s!

But this is not about that. It seems like the Middle-East Asia fare wars are also on, about the same time as capacity wars are going on. About the time Emirates announced a 2-day sale for MasterCard customers from India, there comes a global sale from the stable of Qatar Airways, who is getting you across from anywhere in their network for a flat 25% off in Economy and 20% in Business Class.

This one, is for indicting the 100th plane in their fleet, and touching it’s 100th destination, they say!

By all standards, this offer is more generous than the Emirates one and how. The travel window is much more liberal, and you could travel anytime between 21st November 2011 to 31st May 2012. Also, the potential savings are much larger. Like, for travel from Mumbai to the USA in January 2012, I was able to locate fares for INR 50K/USD 1000, which is a full 12K INR less than the next option in economy!

Incase you are wondering where all does Qatar Airways go, well, it has a very good coverage across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. It also covers the US east coast, some cities in Africa, and has a link into Australia as well.

While I don’t believe much in the Skytrax ratings, I’d believe there would be an acceptable level of service standard since Qatar Airways is the best according to Skytrax, globally!

So go ahead and book up! Remember, the offer is valid from 0001 hours 15 November 2011 to 2359 17th November 2011 as per your local time. So head up to the local website via www.qatarairways.com.
