The Indian Hotels Company Limited, which owns and operates the Taj, Vivanta and SeleQtions brands of hotels across the world, has been making use of the pandemic to invite guests into their properties with all sorts of promotional offers. First, the Taj launched the Togetherness offer, providing a flat 50% discount offer for Gold and Platinum TIC members, now they are back with a new offer for Taj InnerCircle members.

TIC is offering the ability to redeem your Taj InnerCircle points against stays, with a 25% saving on the room rate. To be able to book through this promotion, you need to book by August 15, 2021 for stays till October 31, 2021. The offer is applicable only to Taj InnerCircle Members for bookings against redemption of TIC points, on a room-only basis.

I checked out the Taj Mahal Tower, and it turned out to be an exact 25% discount on the property’s rates. For example, the usual price of the property is INR 6500 + taxes (INR 7280 inclusive of taxes).

The redemption shows up at a discount, but only available in terms of points. INR 5460 is 75% price of INR 7280, which is the price of the room inclusive of taxes. This exact discount shows up on redemption prices. Remember, 1 TIC point = 1 INR.

If you want to book a room using TIC points, you can book it for yourself or anyone else using your TIC points. You can also transfer from Citibank Prestige @ 1 Prestige Point = 1 TIC Point and Citibank PremierMiles @ 2 PM = 1 TIC Point.

While this is a great offer, you should remember, that as a TIC Silver member, you get a 10% discount in terms of the points required for a redemption all times of the year, and as a Gold Member, you get a 15% discount. Similarly, as a Platinum member, you get a 20% discount across the board.

Bottomline

Taj InnerCircle is offering a 25% discount on redemption bookings for stays till October 31, 2021 as long as you book them using your TIC points till August 15, 2021. This is a great offer for those who want to redeem some TIC points for a vacation or work trip in the coming days.
