GoAir offers priority check-in and baggage services, except they don’t seem to have the means to fulfil this service they are selling. Here are my experiences.

GoAir gets permission to fly abroad: Iran, Kazakhstan, China on the map
GoAir will be the latest Indian airline to go abroad. They recently completed the requirements to go abroad, and now have the permissions on various routes. All that needs to be seen is which route and when will they launch.

On Monday, I wrote about the sale that SpiceJet and Indigo sparked, where they offered discounted pricing on flights at least a month out. They called it “75% off compared to last-minute prices” however, I’d like to look at it more like a marketing gimmick, because who in their right minds would compare last minute fares to 30-day fares. The point is, there is still saving if you book now as compared to booking ten days down the line. This morning, less than a week after the 50% off fare sales from all 5 domestic airlines Spicejet, Indigo, GoAir, Air India and Jet Airways/JetKonnect got over, Spicejet was back in the market with a second fare sale this morning, this time promising 30% off on weekday travel for booking 30 days out. Go Air joins in on the Jet Airways sale
Last Saturday, Jet Airways put out a large number of seats on sale, which can be booked for travel upto 331 days out. It turns out, GoAir has also joined in the sale. GoAir is selling tickets from Rs. 1,675 onwards till August 9, 2013, for the following travel period: August 9, 2013 to October 10, 2013 January 13,2014 to March 29, 2014 Although the stated dates are these, I also was able to spot some other dates which have the stated fares. The economics of Spicejet’s fare sale and justifying the regulator’s action
I got quite some amount of pushback on the SpiceJet sale that happened last weekend and I thought I’d pen down my thoughts here.
