A few days back I wrote about the Turkish Airlines Star Alliance status match, which has been going on for a while now. A lot of people have mailed in enquiring if they could get a Star Alliance status match for themselves.
Usually, any alliance will not match members from its own alliance, however, looks like with Turkish, it is different. As per a MP member Jimgotkp who posted on the MP thread I started in this regard,
Requested mine last night but was told only *G, ST E+, and OW E get status matches
So, this is good news for all those who want to get a *A gold status and do not travel too much. If you are an existing Star Alliance Gold, a SkyTeam ElitePlus or a oneworld Emerald, just drop them a line as per my earlier post and receive your new status. Do remember to mention in your email that you are a status holder in another alliance.
The prioirity boarding and lounge access benefits are the ones I look out for, but you can refer to the entire list here.
And be prepared to wait. You will usually not hear back from them on email, but one fine day your status will be upgraded. Members have reported that you usually receive your new kit within 15 days.
All the best!!!

So, after reading this, this is what I am getting…
My Dad has OW E status, and *Silver with UA, and with Turkish Airlines, I can still match him to get a *G?
Use the ow-e status to get him a match…
If I’m interpreting lounge access rules correctly on the Star Alliance page, it seems I’d be able to access lounges domestically as a Turkish *G even when traveling on a domestic United itinerary. Is this correct? What if I’m crediting the itinerary to United’s MP program? I assume if I have a Turkish *G card I’d still be able to access a lounge.
