Starwood is currently running a new SPG Member Exclusive promotion where some members have been targeted for specific offers for stays until April 30, 2018.
To check if you are eligible for this offer, log-in here and in case you have been targeted then you must register for the offer by March 31, 2018. Sometimes you won’t get emails from Starwood, but it is always a good idea to put your membership number to know if you were targetted or not.
I have not been targeted in this round of promotion though, some Starwood members are getting an opportunity to earn 7,500 bonus Starpoints by completing 2 paid stays during the offer period, which is great as it can get a free night at any SPG category 3 hotels. You get 2,500 Starpoints bonus on the first stay and 5,000 Starpoints bonus on the second stay. There are other versions of the offer as well.
- 2000 every 2 stays up to 6 stays for 6000 total
- 1500 for the first stay and 2500 for the second stay for 4000 total
- 2000 for the second stay, 2500 for the third stay, 3000 for the fourth stay

This time around Ajay’s offer is exactly the same as the previous one. He can earn double elite qualifying nights and stays on paid stays at Starwood hotels through April 30, 2018.
The good thing is that Starwood Member Exclusive promotions are stackable with other promotions. For example, last year Ajay accelerated his SPG Platinum status by combining the same member exclusive offer that gave him double credit for elite nights and elite stays count with the SPG Explore More promotion which was offering 500-1000 Starpoints per stay through January this year.

Wrong information here I guess because if you read the terms and conditions of the double nights/stay credit offer, it clearly says that bonus nights do not count towards the status challenges. I have reconfirmed this with my SPG ambasssdor as well.
“The bonus elite-qualifying nights that post to the member’s account as result of the Promotion will not count toward SPG Lifetime™ status nights requirements or toward achieving any milestones required to obtain any other SPG Promotion Rewards including, but not limited to, for example, Status Challenges, Bonus Starpoints and Free Night Awards. Members upgraded to elite status solely as a result of the bonus elite-qualifying stays or nights posted will not have a year of elite status count toward SPG Lifetime qualification, unless the member achieves the typical required stays and nights needed for elite status. This offer is nontransferable and may not be combined with any other stay or night acceleration offers.”
