40% Discount for Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes August 2025

Every month, the Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer programme lists sectors where it offers 30% discounts on redemptions. The travel dates are the month after. However, this month, the promotion is offering a 40% discount for only 2.5 days. Singapore Airlines has released the list of Spontaneous Escapesas they are called, which are valid for ticketing through August 31, 2025, and travel between September 1 and September 30, 2025.

Singapore Airlines Spontaneous Escapes August 2025

The sale for August 2025 operates on two levels. If you find a route, you can book the ‘Promo’ awards at 40% off over the next 60 hours – between August 15, 2025, 12:00 SGT (9:30 AM IST) and August 17, 2025, 23:59 SGT (9:30 PM IST) – for travel in September 2025. Award discounts will revert to the usual Spontaneous Escapes 30% off rate for bookings made from August 18, 2025, 00:00 SGT  to August 31, 2025, 23:59 SGT.

The offer is valid for redemption on flights to various destinations across the Singapore Airlines network. For instance, flights from India to/from Ahmedabad are only available for redemption, and redemptions start as low as 12,000 Krisflyer miles one-way. Availability for the Indian sectors is meagre, though this time, it is limited only to Ahmedabad / Mumbai, and Delhi, with Business Class availability only to Ahmedabad.

How to Redeem? 

  1. Log in to your KrisFlyer account with your KrisFlyer membership number/ email address and password at the top right corner of this page.
  2. Select ‘Book a Flight’ on your dashboard.
  3. Click ‘Redeem flights’ and select your travel details.
  4. After selecting the flights, the redemption discount will only be reflected in the booking summary panel.
  5. Seats are limited, and redemption availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.

  1. A 40% discount on saver award redemptions for travel to and/or from selected destinations in September 2025.
  2. Redeem online at singaporeair.com or via the SingaporeAir mobile app between 15th August 2025, 12:00 SGT and 17th August 2025, 23:59 SGT.
  3. The discount reverts to 30% for bookings made between 18th August 2025, 00:00 SGT, and 31st August 2025, 23:59 SGT.
  4. Any change is strictly not permitted for bookings made under this promotion. Cancellation is also not allowed for partially unused or unused tickets.
  5. For (i) any flights cancelled by SIA, or (ii) if an SQ-operated flight was removed from a Participant’s booking due to Covid-19 and governmental regulatory changes, the miles redeemed in the unused portion of the ticket will be refunded into the relevant Participant’s KrisFlyer account with no additional fees charged. However, requests to change any booking details or to retain the ticket for future use will not be granted. Participants may submit their request via the Assistance Request form.
  6. The 40% discount level is only applied to the number of KrisFlyer miles required for an Economy Class Saver, Premium Economy Class Saver and/or Business Class Saver award ticket.
