Every month, the Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer programme lists sectors where it offers 30% discounts on redemptions. The travel dates are the month after. Singapore Airlines will release the list of Spontaneous Escapes, as they are called, valid for ticketing in August 2025 and travel in September 2025.
Prepare for Singapore Airlines Spontaneous Escapes August 2025
While the next batch of routes is not yet available, Singapore Airlines has begun preparing its member base to expect a 10% higher redemption discount in the upcoming promotion. The promotion will go live on Friday, August 15, 2025, at noon Singapore Time, and will be available for 60 hours, offering a 40% Discount on select routes for travel between September 1 and 30, 2025.
This is also beneficial to know, as if you believe you are preparing for redemption in September 2025 and need to transfer points to have enough available, you can do so now. As a reminder, Singapore Airlines Krisflyer miles are straightforward to earn in India, given that you can transfer them from the following credit cards:
- American Express Platinum Charge Card: 2 Membership Rewards: 1 KF Mile
- American Express Gold Charge Card: 2 Membership Rewards: 1 KF Mile
- American Express Platinum Travel Credit Card: 2 Membership Rewards: 1 KF Mile

The new co-branded credit cards from KrisFlyer are now available, in association with SBI Cards.
Bottomline
Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer is offering the opportunity to redeem 40% fewer miles and fly to Singapore and other parts of the world as long as you book your tickets between August 15-17, 2025 and fly in September 2025. However, this promotion is available only on select routes we don’t know of for now. It would be great to use some of those KrisFlyer miles you might have transferred to take advantage of the promotion years ago.
