Royal Jordanian Airlines, an oneworld member carrier and Jordan’s flag carrier, intends to return to India in 2025. The airline used to operate flights to India back in 2014, so this would bring the airline back to the country after a decade.
Royal Jodanian’s plans to return to India
Royal Jordanian used to operate flights to India in 2014. However, the airline stopped operations to Mumbai on September 10, 2014, and Delhi on October 31, 2014. The airline discontinued these services due to reduced demand.
In 2025, Royal Jordanian intends to return to India with flights to Delhi and Mumbai. Dr Abed Al Razzaq Arabiyat, Managing Director of the Jordan Tourism Board, first announced this in July 2024. Recently, Royal Jordanian also posted an Instagram post listing Delhi and Mumbai as locations that the airline will fly to in 2025.

While the exact date of resumption of service is yet unknown, Royal Jordanian will almost certainly fly to India this year.
Bottomline
2025 should see Royal Jordanian arrive with flights to Delhi and Mumbai from Amman in Jordan, a resumption of service after more than a decade. The exact dates are yet unknown, but the airline has made a formal announcement, so it sounds like a done deal.

This is exciting! RJ has been offering some incredibly low fares from JFK, ORD, and DTW to destinations in the Middle East and North Africa. It makes me curious whether they’ll utilize their upcoming A320NEOs for DEL and BOM.
