Review: Emirates EK 100 Rome to Dubai, Economy (Boeing 777-300ER)

Our way back to Rome’s International Airport was as easy as the way over. We headed to Roma Termini from our hotel and took the quick Leonardo Express to the airport.

Less than 40 minutes later, we had reached the airport and dropped our bags at the check-in counter. Making our way through Duty-Free, we headed to the Plaza Premium Lounge.

Arrival: 7:15 PM

After a last Aperol Spritz at the lounge, we headed to the boarding gate and our flight back home. This time, we had no issues with finding seats together. We were perfectly comfortable with our window and middle seats. So much so, that we both dozed off immediately after takeoff.

A while into the flight, we were served our meal. My low cholesterol meal consisted of grilled chicken, rice, steamed vegetables and fresh fruit. It was a basic meal. However, my husband asked for the Beef Lasagna from the meal pamphlet and said it was one of the best ones he’s had. I had to try it for myself, and you know what? It was pretty good.

Bellies full and a bottle of wine later, we both promptly fell asleep straight until we touched down in Dubai!
