Last Day: Get a Platinum Status Match with Dufry and save 10% on Duty Free shopping in USA, Bengaluru and around the world

Dufry is a duty-free retailer that operates duty-free outlets at many airports worldwide. The brands operated by Dufry include World Duty-Free Shop, Hudson, Hellenic and others, and it claims a presence at 200 locations in over 50 countries worldwide. The operator also has a loyalty programme, which allows you to earn discounts on shopping at their outlets, and they are now promoting a new status match offer.

Get Platinum Status on Red by Dufry

Dufry offers a three-tier status programme called Red by Dufry, where on signup, you get into the Silver tier, which allows you to earn 5 points per Euro spent and get up to a 5% discount on flashing your card at the outlets. You move up to the Gold tier when you accumulate 2000 points, where you get a 7% discount, and to the Platinum tier when you accumulate 5000 points. Tobacco purchases are excluded.

But that is not all. Dufry status also offers up to 10% discount with Avis worldwide and hotel discounts with Hotels Combined.

In a tie-up with Status Match Co, Dufry has now announced a free status match programme where you can get to the Platinum status with practically any airline and hotel status of note around the globe.

The list is long, endless, and distinguished. You can match all these airline statuses to receive the Platinum status. From an Indian perspective, there is Air India, Vistara and Air India Express (NeuPass). You can apply here.

Some prominent locations where you can use Dufry for shopping include the Bengaluru International Airport, where Dufry runs duty-free shops. Others include Zurich Airport, Istanbul, Vancouver, Melbourne, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Milan, Lima (Peru), Sharjah, London Heathrow, etc.

I applied for the status match and received my matched status within 24 hours. I’ll use it the next time I fly out of Bengaluru and report back.

  1. sadly applied for status match 2 weeks ago was acknowledged but had not been changed despite countless emails to the client services .. very disappointed and may end membership
