From time to time, Qatar Airways comes up with some reasonably fabulous sales, and this week is one of those. They are now offering a great sale for departures out of India. Let’s find out some more about the Qatar Airways Sale 2020.
The current sale if on offer through January 1220, 2020, and you can travel until December 10, 2020. I’d highly recommend you check out the sale and see if there is something that works for you. It is a global sale to over 160 destinations, so I’m sure enough is going around in terms of inventory for everyone. All tickets booked under this promotion get double QMiles as long as you are banking the tickets to Qatar Airways.
There are some excellent deals here. As per Qatar Airways, the promotion is ongoing from January 6, 2020, to January 12, 2020, for travel from January 20, 2020, to December 10, 2020.

The base promotion is offering up to 30% off for those who book directly on QatarAirways.com. Discount applies to instant purchases and on roundtrip tickets only.
Qatar Airways additional 10% off with promo code
Further, there is an additional saving of 10% more when you book using the mobile app or mobile website of QatarAirways.com. Just make sure to plug in the coupon code MOBILE2020 to get the additional 10% off. The mobile promotion code is valid from January 7, 2020, through January 12, 2020, for travel between January 20, 2020, and December 10, 2020. The discounts are valid on Qatar Airways operated flights worldwide excluding flight itineraries originating from Qatar. The discount is a real discount. For instance, look at the first v/s second screenshots taken for the same routing and same times one after another. The first one has the promotion code plugged in while the second one does not.
Qatar Airways Companion Offer
Further, Qatar Airways is also offering companion fares with discounts for booking between 2 to 8 passengers together on the same PNR.
In all possibility, this sale may be extended too. But even if it doesn’t, you have all weekend to figure out which one do you want to sign up for. The Qatar Airways Business Class product is beautiful, especially also since they fly the QSuites from India now. unless I am missing something, I can see the difference between 2 screenshots is only Rs. 1292. So which sector offers maximum 40% discount?
@Tanmay, yes indeed you are. The difference is the additional 10% you get by booking with a mobile phone. The 30% discount is compared to normal fares so does not show as a fare difference.

Just out of curiosity looked up flights on exact same date & time on Emirates Sales fares: https://fly10.emirates.com/CAB/IBE/SelectPrice.aspx and it works out to be ~2.5K cheaper than Qatar at INR 54,243. Of course one can argue which is a better product but then nothing exclusive from Qatar in terms of pure pricing on same sector in the name of special promotional offer. In fact had seen Lufthansa offering it for 48K few weeks ago.
@Tanmay, fares depend on so many factors, and yield management is more a science plus an art. Emirates has more capacity flying to certain destinations so perhaps one gets them lesser there. Not defending one over the other, and the economy fare difference is usually not even something to talk much about. The big differences come up when we are talking J and F class fares.
