Qatar Airways adds ability to redeem Privilege Club Avios for JetBlue tickets

Qatar Airways is in a tearing hurry to make Privilege Club an incredible programme to be with. Over the past months, it has joined Avios and made its currency transferable across the other flavours of Avios issued by British Airways and other carriers. Plus, there is that credit card they launched in India.

Qatar Airways Privilege Club now offers redemption on JetBlue.

When it comes to the US Passenger Experience, only a couple of airlines offer a differentiated experience from the usual legacy airline experience of the US Big 3: Alaska Airlines and JetBlue. JetBlue used to be offered on American Airlines AAdvantage before, but it was let go when the North East Alliance went belly up.

However, now it is possible to redeem Qatar Airways’ Avios for travel on JetBlue at a pretty good value, too.

JetBlue and Qatar Airways have had a partnership that goes back as far as 2011. However, the airlines did not offer any reciprocal redemption opportunities. Qatar Airways has now started offering redemption opportunities on Qatar Airways Privilege Club for travel on JetBlue. Here is the applicable redemption chart.

This means you can fly JetBlue from 6,000 Avios to 20,750 Avios one-way in Economy and on some routes for 38,750-62,000 Avios in JetBlue Mint, which is their transcontinental/international business class product. Availability shows up on the Qatar Airways booking/redemption engine wherever available.

Why this whole opportunity is pretty incredible because Avios can be earned via British Airways, Iberia, various credit cards and so on, and can be transferred to Qatar Airways to make these redemptions possible.

Bottomline

Redeeming Qatar Airways Avios for travel on JetBlue, including the Mint Product, is now possible. The award pricing uses the standard partner award chart and has no surcharge on the redemptions. That means redemptions start at 6,000 Avios only and 38,750 Avios for the Mint product.

What do you think of redeeming Qatar Airways Avios on JetBlue?
