Please welcome Mrs. LiveFromALounge!

Hello guys from under the sand! Thank you for all your tweets, emails, LinkedIn & Facebook messages checking in about my health and well being. When I started this blog over 4 years ago, I’d no idea I’d be making friends from near and far who’d keep an eye out for me. And that is what it has been. I’ve run into you at airports, met you at social soirees and so on..

Over the past 50 days or so however,I’ve been living under a rock from the miles and points and airlines and hotels world. I’ve actually been fully surrounded by them for quite a bit of it. You all know about my fiancée, and a bit about our proposal trip last year where she said yes.

Wedding plans have been in the air ever since, and we solemnised our vows at the Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa just last month, in the company of close friends and family. After all, nothing makes a better venue for a close knit affair than the PH Goa, which rendered itself beautifully in the rains to being a lush green venue. The choice of venue was also dependent on our own requirement, which was a professional staff to deal with most things, and nothing came closer than the comfort the Park Hyatt Goa gave us in that respect, in part because I am so familiar with that resort and their ability to deliver. And they did deliver!

The plan was never to go silent. In fact Shipra fully expected me to be writing posts till a few minutes before the wedding and we joked about it as well! 😉

But as the big day came closer, I was on the phone for hours at length, sometimes collecting RSVPs, sometimes making sure the colour of the table cloth was the right shade of blue and at others, setting expectations with some of our vendors. I never imagined that howsoever small your wedding party could be, you’d still need to handle tonnes of vendors. And between everything, I just never got back to the blog.

But the good news is, we are back, well fed and well rested! And there are two of us, to tell you more about our experiences (though I fully suspect to do the heavy lifting to help you catch up with the miles & points game!)

Do come back and visit us often!
