Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, the largest airport in India, will close Terminal 2 for operations on April 15, 2025. All flights will then transition to Terminal 1.
Delhi Airport Terminal 2 to shut down on April 15, 2025
Terminal 1 was fully redone and made with a serviceable capacity of 40 million passengers annually. Now, Delhi Airport is consolidating its operations into T1 and T3. Terminal 2 will get a makeover, just like Terminal 1 did, but it is unclear if when it reopens, it will still be called Terminal 2 or Terminal 4, as the Delhi Airport Masterplan referred to it.

Airlines to transition to Terminal 1 on April 15
IndiGo will move 122 flights from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1. They have established a web page to announce which flights will transition from T2 to T1. It is best to check the time of your flight if it arrives or departs into T2 as well.

Terminal 2 will be shut down at Delhi Airport on April 15, 2025, as of midnight. This means all flights currently operating from Terminal 2 will be transitioned out to Terminal 1, which will now operate at full capacity from that date on. Check with your airline to see if you are impacted.
