About a week ago, Clipper opened a new lounge in Mumbai Terminal 1B, and Jet Airways being the only full service airline operating from that terminal, was able to announce a new lounge available to its elite and business class members.
Now, reader A Sahu sends in some pictures of this lounge, which is one I am yet to visit. The location and the operator are exactly the same as earlier, and Jet Airways has again managed to get complete 9W branding over the lounge, making it look an exclusive one. Or maybe it is exclusive to 9W and no credit card access would be allowed here. We’ll find out that over a few months ahead.

Lounge F&B
While F&B look pretty dull, keep in mind A Sahu was on a late night flight out of Mumbai, so most of the food may have been removed at this hour. He additionally informs me that this is a 55 seater, which is a good amount of capacity for a lounge such as this. Let me add, a lot of metro flights for Jet Airways fly from Terminal 1C so that lounge traffic heads to the Carnation Lounge.
I am happy there is finally a lounge back at Terminal 1B, which is better than no lounge at all!
I guess they don’t have an option for Master Card holders as yet. Sadly I couldn’t have the privilege of experiencing it.
@Neelesh this lounge is not going to be used for bank customers, only JetPrivilege elites.
Hi,
I going to travel bahrain to jodhpur on 26 nov.15,
From T1b jet airways is my connecting flight is there ,I want to enquire that how far is 1c from 1b terminal & can I go to 1c n use carnation lounge beING I have a free eccess of this longe n get back to terminal 1b to take my flight, being my stay at airport will be apx.7 hours
Vinod
I spent 5 hours in this lounge from 4AM to 9AM. Other than a decent place to sit at the airport there is nothing to write about. Very limited menu. In South Indian option they offered Utthappam which was tasteless and equally insipid watery Sambar ( More like Rasam)which had no salt.
North Indian option was better – Plain Paratha and Aloo Sabzi.
A lot of scope to improve..!
What is the point of opening this Lounge now? Isnt Jet going to shift to T2 this year?
@Mayur I don’t think there was much investment in opening this lounge. Even if it is temporary, jet gets a win for bringing back frequent flyers in their fold.
