Since the pandemic, travel has made a strong comeback. As this happens, hotel and flight rates are sky-high, especially in the luxury segment. However, fortunately, almost all major travel outlets often sell miles and points with bonuses or at a discount, which can make for a good deal on the rates these airlines and hotels offer.
It would be a great time to update all the hotel miles and points that are currently for sale, so you can stock up on the right ones for your travels and start planning your trips for the times ahead.

Alaska Airlines’ Atomos Rewards loyalty programme is offering up to a 90% bonus on purchases of Atmos Rewards. The 90% bonus offer is a tiered one, and works as follows:
- Buy 3,000-9,000 points for a 70% bonus
- Buy 10,000-19,000 points for an 80% bonus
- Buy 20,000-100,000 points for a 90% bonus
You can buy Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards points for 3.5 US cents pre-tax, before any discounts or bonuses. If you purchase 100,000 Atmos Rewards points pre-bonus, you’d receive a total of 190,000 Atmos Rewards points at a cost of USD 3,762.50, which is a rate of 1.98 US cents (INR 1.82) per Atmos Rewards point.
Atmos Rewards (formerly Mileage Plan) has long been a favourite among frequent flyers for its partner redemption sweet spots, particularly for premium cabin flights. For example, you can sometimes redeem 70,000 Mileage Plan miles for Business Class between Asia and North America on partner airlines, making this programme particularly valuable when promotions like this are running.

Air Canada Aeroplan is offering up to 90% bonus on purchased points (through March 19, 2026)
Between March 2 and March 19, 2026, Air Canada’s Aeroplan loyalty programme is offering a mystery bonus on purchased points. The standard version of the offer is for up to a 90% bonus, structured as follows:
- Buy 4,000-15,000 points for a 40% bonus
- Buy 20,000-60,000 points for a 60% bonus
- Buy 70,000+ points for a 90% bonus
Aeroplan remains one of the most versatile Star Alliance programmes, allowing redemptions on more than 40 partner airlines. The programme also publishes an award chart for partner flights, which means it is still possible to extract outsized value from premium cabin redemptions of various airlines. For instance, a Business Class redemption between Europe and India on Star Alliance partners can start at around 70,000 Aeroplan points one way, which can occasionally make buying points during a promotion worthwhile.
Air Canada Aeroplan charges 0.0375 CAD (0.0275 USD or 2.54 INR) per point. If you purchased 500,000 Aeroplan points with a 90% bonus, you’d receive a total of 950,000 Aeroplan points at a cost of 18,750 CAD (13,820 USD or 12,70,196 INR), which is a rate of 1.44 USD cents or INR 1.33 per Aeroplan point.

Copa Airlines has a deal on ConnectMiles where you can get up to a 60% bonus through March 27, 2026, when you buy at least 3,000 points. The promotion is tiered and works as follows:

Members who frequently travel within the Americas may find value here, especially when redeeming on Copa’s extensive Latin American network.

United Mileage Plus is offering 100% bonus on purchased miles (through March 30, 2026)
Through March 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM Central Time, United Mileage Plus is offering a tiered bonus on purchased miles. The promotion I was offered provides a 100% bonus at the top end, as long as you buy more than 5,000 miles in one go.
When you buy United Mileage Plus miles, you usually pay 3.5 US cents per purchased mile, plus a 7.5% excise tax charged in the US. To unlock the best price, you need to purchase 5,000+ miles in one transaction, pre-bonus. The pricing works out to USD Cents 1.88 / INR 1.7 per Mile.
In 2026, a new restriction was imposed. You can now purchase up to 50,000 miles from United (including the bonus) in any 90-day period, while you can still purchase up to 200,000 miles throughout the year.
One of the great features of United Mileage Plus is that United does not pass on fuel surcharges to its customers. Another great feature is that United Mileage Plus miles don’t expire. So, you get to keep your miles no matter what. You can use them to redeem on Star Alliance member airlines. Air India is back in the fold as we write this.

Which credit card should you use to buy miles and points?
Typically, these point purchases are processed through Points.com, rather than directly by the hotel or airline. However, you will almost always pay in USD/EUR/GBP, not INR. The best cards to earn a bonus are the Axis Bank Olympus, American Express Platinum Charge Card, and Axis Bank Reserve Credit Card, as these cards offer an international spending bonus. Beyond these, consider any card that offers a reduced foreign exchange conversion rate or helps you meet minimum spend requirements.
