Like you know, Miles & Points are a passion I have pursued over a decade now. Back in the day, like way back, I was as clueless as everyone else about where to start. Over a period of time, I gathered my skillset from a combination of sources and learning from those before me. And now, that skillset helps me and my family travel by the droves while paying for it with miles rather than cash.
The Mileage Mentor MasterClass is your ticket to travelling with your points, miles and credit card points for next to nothing. The first of these was organised last year, and since then, we have been able to have more than a hundred people walk through the door and get better with their appreciation of points and miles.
For instance, last year, we did a 15-day vacation in December 2018, where we spent time in Europe chasing Christmas Markets, and we flew Business Class on the way out & First Class on the way back to Mumbai. We paid only for two hotel nights, and everything else came with points.
And now, it is time to pay it forward. It has been my goal to educate people as much as I can to use their miles and earn their miles wisely. This year, we held Mileage Mentor MasterClasses at Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Pune and Chennai already. It was yet again, an instant hit. But we keep scoping out newer cities via social media where to take the workshop.
We just completed a massive workshop in Mumbai, with 14 participants a few days ago. We usually take in about ten people, but given it was our last workshop for the Mumbai this year, with no plans at the moment for the coming year firm, we just figured we would clear the waitlist. The next workshop is in Bangalore tomorrow, and we have a couple of seats open there.
Due to a large number of requests from Delhi, we firmed up another round of the Mileage Mentor MasterClass for Delhi NCR, and the last for the year. The MasterClass is intended to be a 4-5 hour long, interactive workshop where we start with the basics and then move on to more advanced subjects which should eventually leave you with a strategy on how to earn and burn loyalty points towards travel.
In these 4-5 hour workshops, for the beginners and the intermediate level users, we will talk to you on the following lines:
- Miles & Points Concepts
- Airlines: How to Earn those Miles and How to Burn those Miles to get on the pointy edge of the plane
- Hotels: Why being loyal helps you, and how to maximise your hotel loyalty benefits
- Credit Cards: Learn how to generate miles and points on your everyday purchases, and what works best for your spends.
We are going to talk about the Indian perspective and how you can get the best seats in the house from India. After the workshops, we will leave the floor open to help answer your questions.
Given the moves in the Indian loyalty scenario, with the unwinding of Jet Airways and newer developments such as Citibank’s latest move on credit cards, we continue to upgrade our content to this effect.
The Event details are as follows:
- Delhi NCR: December 21, 2019 (10:00 AM) at WeWork Forum, Cyberhub, Gurugram
- Ticket once bought is non-refundable. You can, however, transfer your ticket to someone else.
- Hot beverages, water and a working lunch, are included in your ticket.
- Internet Access will be provided.
- In case the event is cancelled, the organiser’s liability is limited to a full refund of the fee paid.
- If you require a Tax Invoice, please send us a mail at billing@lfal.net to receive the same.
For those who pre-booked, they have already been sent a special link to complete their payments and book their seats. Please check your emails. These people got a very sweet deal for stepping forward when the session was still a thought.
This time, we are working slightly differently in terms of ticketing. The website for ticketing is already live here. The full price of the ticket is going to be INR 8,500 per attendee, inclusive of GST. But currently, we are offering a special price to celebrate a great year for LiveFromALounge and as thanks for the readers.
- INR 7,500 through December 16, 2019
So, if you have been looking for the lowest price and missed the pre-booking pricing, you should book now. Here is the link for purchasing your tickets. Also, if you’d like to earn as a family, perhaps you should come in as a couple as well, given it helps if both the spouses know as much about miles and points and are equally on board.
A part of the session is already sold thanks to the pre-bookings. Here is an exciting story from one of our readers, who managed to go from zero to 80,000 miles by using the knowledge from the forum.
You can book your tickets on LiveFromALounge.Plus.
We are looking forward to seeing you all there!
If you can’t make it to the workshop and would like to book a private consultation, sign up here.
Is the event still on with the traffic situation in Ggn today ?
@Sidharth. Yes, the event is on. No further issues expected with Gurugram at the moment.
Wow this is right in front of my office. Is there a mixer of some kind post workshop where I can come say hi? Let me know if you need any help.
For people on the edge and not from Gurgaon — the location is great. There is a big parking lot next to this WeWork as well as metro is 200m away. Very convenient. (This is the old Ericsson building)
Hi Ajay
I hold diners black, amex mrcc ,plat travel and several other low key cards. In last 2.5 years I have accumulated more than 6 lakh points on hdfc , 80000 on amex, 50000 jp miles using jpscout only. Haven’t used any hotel miles till date. Do you think your workshop will help me?
I only travel for holidays .
@Vyom, hotel programmes are underrated and we have helped a lot many people with them via the workshops. come on over.
Thats terrific. Good luck for the nxt goal
Sir,
Please schedule in Hyderabad also. I sure you have many followers in Hyderabad
Thanks
Deep
You said ‘pay it forward’. That is something one says when one is doing it for free. Not when you are charging 8500/-
@Deepak, all of that goes towards covering the cost of travel and the arrangements we need to make. In terms of “free”, one is always welcome to read our almost ten-year archives and gain everything they need to know to get started in the world of miles and points. Trust that clarifies.
No love for Mumbai (your base location)?
@Sagar how much love can Mumbai take? We just finished up a workshop less than 10 days back. Perhaps our 4th in the city.
Damn, somehow I missed that 🙁
Will keep an eye out
