Every year, Marriott encourages you to build status with them through a first-quarter promotion that rewards you with double elite nights (2024 and 2025). The hope is that you will be sufficiently entrenched in the system to stay with them more and more throughout the year. This year, the promotion is back, but with a twist.
Marriott launches 2026’s first global promotion: One EQN and 2,500 bonus points per brand
Marriott Bonvoy has just launched its first global loyalty promotion of the year, and it’s a way to boost your points and elite night credits across the world. Unlike some past promotions tied only to specific regions or brands, this offer is valid across virtually all Marriott Bonvoy properties worldwide.

Jaisalmer Marriott Resort & Spa, India
Promotion Highlights
Marriott Bonvoy members can earn the following on eligible stays:
- 2,500 Bonus Bonvoy Points per stay — no matter how short the stay is, as long as it qualifies.
- 1 Elite Night Credit for each different Bonvoy brand stayed at — letting you stack brands to earn multiple credits even on back-to-back nights.
This structure makes the promotion especially useful if your travels take you through multiple brands (e.g., Sheraton, Westin, Courtyard, Renaissance) during the eligible period.

Mahabalipuram Four Points by Sheraton
Dates & Registration
- Stay period: February 25 – May 10, 2026.
- Registration: Required before completing any eligible stays. You must register before earning points or elite nights.
Once registered, you can earn bonus points and elite nights on each qualifying stay completed within the promo period. You can register between now and April 26, 2026. Remember, you can only earn points if you book directly on Marriott.com or the hotel website, through American Express FHR, or through a luxury travel advisor such as ourselves. These are only valid for paid nights, not for award nights or cash-and-points nights. Eligible paid stays at Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy are eligible for promotional credit.
How does it play out?
In the regular Bonvoy program, points are earned based on your spend — typically 10 Bonvoy points per USD 1 at most brands, plus elite bonuses depending on your status tier. But this promo adds a flat bonus of 2,500 points on top of that. Meanwhile, earning 1 elite night credit per brand encourages hotel hopping: if you stay in different Marriott brands on different nights, you can rack up elite nights faster than on a single-brand run.
So, for instance, if you stay at a Westin, a Renaissance, and a Courtyard, you get 3 bonus EQNs. If you stay at three different Westin hotels and resorts, you only get 1 bonus EQN. Also, 2500 points are per stay and not per night. For instance, if you stay 3 nights, we get 2500 bonus points. Or even one night gets the same bonus. Earlier on, in a similar promotion, Marriott used to make it easy by awarding 1000 bonus points along with one elite qualifying night per night stayed (no consideration of one night or more).
Also, stays at BVLGARI, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Marriott Executive Apartments, and owner-occupied weeks at Marriott Vacation Club®, Grand Residences by Marriott®, Marriott Grand Residence Club, Sheraton Vacation Club, Westin Vacation Club, The Ritz-Carlton Club, The St. Regis Residence Club, and The Luxury Collection Residence Club, are not eligible for bonus Points or bonus Elite Night Credits for this promotion. City Express, Protea, Series (Fern hotels) and Four Points Flex earn 0.5 EQN, so for a few weeks, we will get 1 EQN.
Stackable with Other Offers
Because this is a systemwide promotion, the bonus points and elite nights can be stacked with:
Individual property bonus point promotions (often offering thousands of points for specific hotels)
- Targeted Bonvoy offers for members
- Regular points from spend and elite bonuses.
You can also get perks at luxury and premium hotels bookable via the STARs and Luminaire programme using our services. That gives savvy travellers even more ways to maximise their returns from paid stays.
Bottomline
If you have upcoming paid stays between late February and early May, this promotion is worth registering for. With 2,500 bonus points per stay and bonus elite nights for brand diversity, it’s a straightforward way to accelerate both your point balance and your elite status progress across Marriott’s portfolio. Make sure to register now.

Hi Ajay, If i stay at the ITC Luxury Collection. Would that be included? By the way what’s EQN?
@Rags, when you credit the night to Marriott and not Club ITC, it would be included. EQN = Elite Qualifying Night (the way Marriott counts you for the loyalty qualification)
